A Little Plenty is a personal website about growing, preserving, home projects, books and seasonal life. For data-protection purposes, A Little Plenty is responsible for the personal information collected through this site.

What I collect
 

Depending on how you use A Little Plenty, I may collect your email address and any name you choose to provide when you sign up for an email or download; information you send through the contact form; your email preferences, including subscriptions and unsubscribes; technical information needed to operate and protect the website; and, where you have consented, information about how the website is used through analytics or similar technologies.
 

How I use it
 

I use this information to send things you have asked for, such as the monthly desktop background; send Letters from the Garden where you have separately chosen to receive them; reply when you contact me; operate and protect the website; and understand how the site is being used where you have agreed to non-essential analytics.

Where you actively sign up for emails, I rely on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Where you contact me, I use the information you provide because I have a legitimate interest in responding to you and keeping any record reasonably needed to deal with the conversation.

Non-essential analytics and similar technologies that require consent will only be used where you have chosen to allow them.

Who handles your information

A Little Plenty is built and hosted using Wix, which may process website, form and email information on my behalf. If I begin using additional email, analytics or technical providers that process personal information, I’ll update this notice.

I do not sell your personal information.

Links on A Little Plenty may take you to other websites, including retailers linked through the Mercantile. Once you leave A Little Plenty, those websites handle information according to their own privacy policies.
 

International processing
 

Wix operates internationally, so information may be stored or processed outside the UK. Wix states that it uses appropriate legal mechanisms when information is transferred internationally.
 

How long I keep information
 

Email subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe or otherwise ask me to stop. I may retain the minimum information needed to make sure an unsubscribed address is not accidentally added again.

Contact-form messages are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry and deal with any follow-up.

Cookie and analytics information is retained according to the periods shown in the site’s cookie controls and relevant service settings.
 

Your rights
 

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, and in some cases to receive a portable copy.

You can withdraw consent at any time and you can object to your information being used for direct marketing at any time.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can contact me first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

A Little Plenty uses necessary cookies and similar technologies so the site can function properly.

Where non-essential analytics or other tracking technologies are used, they are controlled by your choices in the cookie banner. You can accept, reject or manage those choices.

The exact technologies in use may change as the website develops, so the cookie manager is the best place to see the current categories and controls.

I checked this against the current Wix and ICO guidance while tightening it up: Wix’s current consent system is designed to hold non-essential cookies/scripts until consent, and the ICO’s current guidance requires clear information and meaningful control over non-essential storage/access technologies. Wix also confirms that visitor data may be handled internationally.

A Little Plenty contains things I genuinely use, have used or think are worth recommending.

Some links may be affiliate links. If you buy something through one of those links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly marked “Ad – affiliate link” wherever they appear.

That does not change what I say about a product.

If something has been gifted, discounted, sponsored or otherwise supplied as part of a commercial relationship, I’ll say so clearly. I won’t describe something as a product I use or love if I don’t.

Products also change. They disappear, get reformulated, change model numbers or simply stop being as good as they once were, so I periodically check older recommendations and update or remove things that no longer deserve the space.

The Mercantile is deliberately small. I’d rather recommend a handful of things I can actually tell you something useful about than fill a page with products for the sake of having links.

A Little Plenty downloads are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless a particular download says otherwise.

You’re welcome to print them for yourself and use them on your own devices. Please don’t sell, redistribute, upload, repackage or claim the files or their artwork and layouts as your own.

If you want to share one, please send people to the original A Little Plenty page so they can get their own copy.

The downloads are general planning and organisational resources rather than professional medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice. Availability and file formats may change over time.
